As we shovel our way through the freezing cold and snowy months of January and February, we should also be thinking of the wear and tear our poor exterior surfaces are experiencing. Rain and snow fall, freezing and thawing occur over and over. Coatings that have aged and gone through weathering from blazing hot summers and frigid winters past start to fail, and if not caught soon enough, moisture seeps into and under failing coatings and wreaks havoc on the surfaces those coatings were meant to protect.
It’s easy to put off a painting project until there are visible signs of peeling, bubbling and fading, but the best time to have a fresh coat of paint applied is BEFORE these visible signs of failure appear. Doing this will save the home or property surfaces you have invested in, saving you more money in the future by not allowing those surfaces to be eaten away by our harsh Wisconsin winters.
