Sherwin Williams 2020/2021 Colour Palettes

The new, trendy colors for the year… what am I going to paint?? I’ll be suggesting these if anyone has a space they are repainting and they’re looking for suggestions.

Inspirational…

Calming…

Soothing…

Exciting!!!

I’ve already used one of them as an accent wall and ABSOLUTELY loved it enough to use it again. Cyberspace. A super deep inky blue black with a striking white trim. Beautiful!!

I totally love and plan to use the deep navy color Naval (Sherwin Williams’ 2020 Color of the Year). This is the ideal color (my opinion) for lower kitchen cabinets with crisp white upper cabinets that blend into a crisp white ceiling, giving a very high, open and airy feeling.

Two other colors I have used is Caviar and Eider White. I paired these together (Caviar one the lower wall and Eider White on the upper) for a soft yet striking combination.

Ok… here’s what we’ve got…

#1 Alive – Exciting bold and vibrant

#2 Mantra – Calm and muted, soothing

#3 Play – Exciting pop of color

#4 Haven – Bold but muted, comfortable

#5 Heart – Warm, snuggley, silky neutrals

Even if you are not one to go super dramatic and coat a whole room or accent wall with something bright or deep, maybe just refinishing some shelves, a stand, a door or even kitchen or bathroom cabinets (or just the doors!) can bring a fun, fresh facelift to any space in your home or office.

Not everyone has an ideal place to paint, especially if you are using a paint sprayer and worry about overspray on surrounding items. If this is you, try a portable paint booth! I have one myself and it has been a game changer.
